The Tricoya® production process is 100% non-toxic, meaning that fibres, flakes and particles may be recycled in the same way as their unmodified equivalents.

Non-toxic and Recyclable
The chemicals commonly used to increase wood durability, such as oils, ammonia or metal salts, are harmful to living organisms and present challenges for the safe disposal of the wood at the end of its serviceable life. These chemicals may leach into the ground during the service life of the wood or when it is disposed of, contaminating the water supply and harming flora and fauna; if burned, toxic gases are released into the atmosphere. The Tricoya® production process is 100% non-toxic, meaning that Tricoya® fibres, flakes and particles may be recycled in the same way as their unmodified equivalents.

Wood based composites present a significant opportunity to make use of wood materials that otherwise have little commercial value.  With Tricoya® technology, the bar is raised even higher because now wood composites produced with Tricoya® will have a useful lifespan far exceeding that of traditional wood composites.

Certified, Reclaimed or Recycled Sources
All wood used in the Tricoya® production process is sourced from sustainable resources such as certified, reclaimed or recycled timber
